A huge thanks to all who has decided to click and spent a few precious moment to read this post. Its been a year since my last post, and I suddenly decided to make this post as working on the go makes me thinking too much. Too much thinking and I couldnt hold it for too long and it has to be thrown out sometimes. Sorry to share this in English as I have to practice my writing skills and in fact my English is still at a very poor level even after been here for almost 3 years. Well I will give a try on this one and please accept my apologies if I fail to convey the message and if you fail to at least understand (I'm lucky enough if you still keep on reading until this line)
Right, am I incomprehensible uttering here (purposely tried to use a proper English) ?Ermm well I heard about this Tarbiyyah Harakiyah somewhere (what on earth is that? i don't understand!) and Ive read about this since long time ago. But I will at least tryto share what I have on my mind about this
1. AN EXPLANATORY NOTE
I am sorry to say this but to be honest I am one of those people who couldn't use ana anta enti antum antunna antuma bla bla bla (probably my tounge was not designed for such mixed up language) but I am fully respect those who speak Arabic properly. As much as I hate Senglish (Singapore English if u prefer), mixing up language is so out of principle to me, again sorry about that guys. So what is this Tarbiyyah Harakiyah? To simplify, it is Pendidikan Pergerakan (is that true?I'm trying to pull the trigger for discussion/argument here) or to make it simpler, it is a term which is hard to explain with another term, the definition of it needs a very long and precise explanation, therefore Ive chosen to share what I have read from the book written by Malayau Islamic Party (no that's not abusive; its the way they called Utusan Malayau as well) President, Dato Seri Hadi Awang titled Fikrah Harakah Daulah (another use of difficult-to-understand language which makes why PAS is so difficult to penetrate the real political market in Malayau). However, I will still retain those arabic term which can be translated straight away (with exception to ana anta anti etc)
2. THE INTRODUCTION?
The perfection of Islam makes the explanation of its terms somehow difficult, The properties of "tarbiyyah Islamiyyah' itself has to be as comprehensively as the perfection touch of Islam. It should not only be focused on some aspect of human nature, and their responsibility on this earth. It should not only be confined on the spiritual aspect and manners alone, as being specified by the field concentration and manners tasawwuf strictly without denying that it is also mandatory. It should not be focused on aspects of present theories of aqliyyah just as discussed by philosophers, by recognizing that brain/mind also has its role as well as the soul and body, heart, manners and attitude, which is the supply of good times and poor, happy and pain, peace and war, which allow one to face the challenges of the self and society brought about by nature good or evil, just or unjust.( is that understandable? well at least I am trying my best Lol) Therefore it must include understanding of tarbiyyah rohaniyyah, tarbiyyah ijtima'iyyah, tarbiyyah jihadiyyah etc., based on aspects of the Islamic perfection beliefs and methods, Although humans have natural properties, but the role and capabilities are limited. And this is why the tarbiyyah should be put in place. To make it short, i wont try to give a lecture why there must be tarbiyyah harakiyah, but i will share the TWO main points how the tarbiyyah harakiyah could be strengthen, absorbed and spread based on the book which I've read before.
3. KNOWLEDGE (AL-'ILM if you prefer)
Recite in the name of your Lord who created -Created man from a clinging substance.Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous -Who taught by the pen -Taught man that which he knew not. (Quran 96:1-5)
And the believers should not all go out to fight. Of every troop of them, a party only should go forth, that they (who are left behind) may gain sound knowledge in religion, and that they may warn their folk when they return to them, so that they may beware (Quran 9:122)
And among people and moving creatures and grazing livestock are various colors similarly. Only those fear Allah , from among His servants, who have knowledge. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Forgiving (Quran 35:28)
All of the above words come from Allah; all in regards to knowledge. The significance of knowledge is so simple, but all of us always being skeptic when it comes to knowledge (kalau seluruh laut dijadikan dakwat untuk menulis, xkan habis ilmu Allah). Yes I am not denying that the knowledge is infinity, sky is the limit, but read again all of the above, we only need the knowledge whenever we have to use them! well it is arguable that knowledge is not confined to any particular area, but do believe me, there is none of the knowledge which we have acquired (at least so far) has been accepted into the brain memory as a spare! (we do use them once we know them; that is why it is being called as knowledge) confused? Let me give you another example, the knowledge of using knife never existed before until we need to use them. The knowledge of flying a kite never exist before until someone started to think to acquire such knowledge. What is the point here? So from Dato Seri writings where he emphasized knowledge as an important tool for tarbiyyah harakiyyah, I concluded that the point here is that 3 rules should apply in regards to knowledge:-
i. READ as Allah's asked Gabrielle to send the message to Muhammad to read (only when the time has come; not when Muhammad was a kid, not before Muhammad get married. Why He instructed Muhammad to read? Because the time has come. Don't asked why on that particular moment, as He knows that the right time has come. I'm not telling you that we should wait for the time to come, but believe your instinct (there must be a reason why it is there) we will READ when we HAVE to read. Means that whenever we are reading, that is the right time to read, so just read! Got the point?
ii. BE SPECIFIC. The second verse I put on before clearly stated that not all of us should be the SUPERMAN. Each of us has been created for a specific purpose. Know yourself only then you will know your enemy (can you imagine how broad is that?) Be specific as we are human, with zillions of braincell which are very potential to be developed; provided that we be specific. Well yes I don't remember exactly every words in the Quran but I can get into the battle even only with a pen with Allah's will. Who can question that? But I am trying to be specific, I possessed the knowledge in depth, I can manouvre the pen precisely, and I never forget that Allah is the one who own me, my knowledge, specialty and my pen as the weapon(I'm not saying that empowered Quran in ourselves is not a must). An engineer cannot built without an architect, and both will die whenever the building collapsed if there is no fireman and doctor.Got the point?
iii.ALLAH IS THE ULTIMATE GOAL. enough said, READ and SPECIALTY must be compliment with this one. there is no KNOWLEDGE without this one. we cannot be considered as knowledgeable without this one. Well yes people do said that non muslim is more knowledgeable most of the time, the world now shows the fact that non muslim have more knowledge but have we forgotten how THE ALMIGHTY defined KNOWLEDGE? Read carefully the third verse above, Got the point?
4. GOOD PRACTICE (AL-'AML if you prefer)
Do you order righteousness of the people and forget yourselves while you recite the Scripture? Then will you not reason? (Quran 2:44)
Say, [O Muhammad], "Shall we [believers] inform you of the greatest losers as to [their] deeds?[They are] those whose effort is lost in worldly life, while they think that they are doing well in work. Those are the ones who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord and in [their] meeting Him, so their deeds have become worthless; and We will not assign to them on the Day of Resurrection any importance. (Quran 18: 103-105)
O you who have believed, why do you say what you do not do?Great is hatred in the sight of Allah that you say what you do not do. (61:2-3)
It is therefore crucial that involving in an Islamic Movement ie Harakiyyah Islamiyyah with a strong way of thinking (fikrah if you prefer) will not bring any good results as Allah has promised this and He always hold His promise. A fikrah if not accompanied with a good practice is like a footballer with a full spec boots but have never been trained before, it is exactly like pointing up a gun towards your enemy without filling any bullet. You will not only fail to score a goal or kill the enemy, but it is certain that u will lose your game and got killed!Got the point right?
5.THE END
Aaaaahhhh then what so new about knowledge and good practice? Well i am not here to teach you why it is so important to be in the harakiyyah islamiyyah. I am not here to tell you that PAS is the best harakiyyah Islamiyyah. But I believe each of us is here, spending our time for Allah, there is no spare time in this life to be spent to except Allah ( I dont understand why is there SPARE word in the dictionary) and we shoudlnt work for PAS or UMNO or whatever NGO (for those who prefer so called non partisan not because of the winning post, not because of the political ambition but we are all here today just because Allah instructed us to do so. No one knows if PAS OR UMNO will last until tomorrow, but each of must must have the faith that our faith is that Allah is our final destination, we are not going anywhere but to Him, we are not doing anything but to achieve Him, we are not breathing but to be with Him, and to make sure that faith last until we have successfully reach Him one day, the idea to be together in the Harakiyyah Islamiyah is the answer, brought my Muhammad to us and we should maintain that with knowledge and good practice, we become knowledgeable by knowledge. Become knowledgeable by knowledge. Become knowledgeable by knowledge. Allahuakbar wa Lillahilhamd. Sekian. Excuse my language pal....=)
